Where families can't afford to send their kids to school.

Kuza Omuto dreams of a village, where all children can go to school and learn together with their friends.

No matter their family's financial situation.

How do we work?

Teamwork makes the dream work

Kuza Omuto wants your donations to have the biggest impact. Therefore we are working on other income streams that will cover our administration costs.

For example:

We are constructing a guest house for the perfect Ugandan village experience.

Sustainable farming and animal husbandry are another activity.

We are working hard so that by the end of our first year, 100% of the donations will be going towards the community.

Once a year we provide every donor with a play by play document, where the money went.

We are looking for international sponsors to cover the school fees and requirements for the kids. Once found a sponsor, we hope that a close relationship will develop between the children and their supporter.

Where does the money go?

To make a lasting impact, we know that we must actively engage and include the communities we are seeking to help. We are continually learning and growing in how we show up as an authentic, ethical partner.

Julia and Samuel

After a long period of traveling around the world, Julia moved to Uganda in 2019. When Covid hit in early 2020, she had to make a choice. Go back to Germany or stay in Fort Portal. The decision was easy to make.

In 2021, together with videographer Samuel, they acquired land in Kinyamangi and started building their house. With ambitious help from the kids in the village. Uganda had one of the longest school closures in the world. For almost two years children could not go to school.

During building it was clear to them, that they would like to support the community that had welcomed them so warmly. When school finally started again, school fees had become so high, that most families had to keep their children at home. And so, the idea of Kuza Omuto was born.
